Tab Trade - The Honest Breakdown
TabTrade — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would be a good addition once it is live.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not relevant to the average person. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says something about priorities.
Pair that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package is strong. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
This is the thing that matters. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not make it safe. It does factor into how you think about it.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you commit.
